All the way to Haiti to Photograph a Princess

So 2009 ended with a bang bang BOOGIE! I have the most wonderful clients and these particular clients love me so much they flew me all the way to Haiti to capture their little princess' Christening and first Christmas! Oh boy oh boy! How did I get so blessed! You mean to tell me I get to work and play and play some more because when I work I have way too much fun!

Thank you Fritz and Johanne for welcoming me into your BEAUTIFUL home and allowing me playtime with Little Princess Chloe.  She is such a sweet baby and deserves absolutely everything her royal highness desires! I swear when I come back I will bring her crown! XOXOXO

Growing up is so much fun!

I had the pleasure of photographing this little one when he was days old and I love to see them at 1 and they are on big boy status. Mr. Independent he is. I just couldn't keep up with him. He's not even one yet but in his own mind he is far beyond it! 

Thanks mom for allowing me once again to have a playdate with your baby boy...Oops I mean your BIG boy!  Here's to the big 1.

Peace...Love...and Awesome Newborns

Early this week the coolest little newborn mozied into the studio to have photographs taken. Now only being a little over a week old and weighing in at a little under 8 pounds he didn't have much to say out of his mouth but boy did he have a lot to say with his body language. He must have known about my inner flower child. Here's to the coolest newborn dude around....Peace..Love..and Happiness.

Mom, thanks so much for trusting me with little "j". He rocked my world and I can't wait to watch him grow!

In my former life...(high school)... I was what you would call a flower child. I mean I had the platform shoes, the bell bottoms straight  from the thrift store, the go go boots and even the flip doo to go with it all. Get this, I had the most sought after outfit with artificial flowers on the bottom of my bellbottoms and my funky vest. Yes..I was a hippie! Straight up. Even won most outrageous dresser in high school. So you wonder why I was so excited to make my days of old come to life in this newborn shoot. My queen supreme was the one and only Deee Lite. I was her mini me.

Little "L" here was so alert and attentive. For a brand new baby she followed me like a hawk and even smiled some for me! She must have also been a flower child in a former life because we had a very special bond. Awww. I could not pay this one to go to sleep, I think she liked my GROOVE! 

Here's to you my flower power mama! GROOVY BABY! !

 

  

Looky who's turning 1!!

I have had a slew of 1 year olds lately and this one here takes the cake...LITERALLY! I always have fun photographing little "J" and this time I just knew I was going to wear...him...out! But HA, he is walking now and this old lady just couldn't keep up. "J" threw me for a loop and I must say I..GOT..SERVED and you know what, it was all worth it. Happy 1st birthday Mommy and Daddy. Thanks for allowing me to capture this treasured moment once again in your lives. Can't wait to come to VA Beach to catch him at 2 chasing seagulls!

Baby's Home!

This session meant so much to me because mommy is a good friend of mine.  I have watched baby Asher come to life from conception up until I saw him yesterday in the crook of his daddy's lap snug as a bug. have had to endure listening to mommy's questions, BOOKS, concerns about motherhood and reassuring her that she is going to be a fabulous mom! I hate to say I TOLD YOU SO x 10 million!  They rock as parents I tell you.  That little boy was showered with love from the moment he was born with godmommy here from Florida to auntie coming down all the way from Jamaica!  I always tease them by saying "You're going to spoil that boy" but I tell you, if I had that little Bubba with me, he would just have to be one little spoiled boy and that's that!

Rach and Ains, thank you so much for allowing me to take part of Asher's life from conception to most likely the birth of his own children!  I tell you this will be one well documented kid if  have anything to do with it .  You all represent the fabulous life of 21st century parenting very well! Love you guys!

New Beginnings

We had a ton of newborns towards the end of 2008 and what a way to bring in the New Year than with a beautiful bundle of joy and goodness.  This little guy slept through almost the entire session but boy does he have the cutest faces on him when he’s sleeping.  He managed to open his eyes for a moment just as I was leaving and low and behold…even MORE cuteness.

Thanks Mom and Dad for welcoming me into your beautiful home to spend time with this little guy.  I mean I thought I had a thing for pictures but by looking in your home I think you have me beat!  I had a blast and hope you these photos will be a great addition to your collection of memories.

Tough Little Boy!

Yet another one year old play date who gave me a run for my money!!  He was ready to go from the moment we met.  Showing me all his toys and cute moves.  Little Myles was a ham.  Even when he cried he smiled.  We had a lot of fun together and decided to invite the entire family to join in including Cody the cute little dog. I tell you little Myles enjoyed every moment of this shoot.  From the toys, to the swings at the playground to the bubbles. This little boy can show you what enjoying the little things in  life really  means.

Hagans family, thanks so much for inviting me into a small part of your fun filled family life.   I hope it was worth the wait.
