Part of the answer to this question is the reason why we changed the name of our company. We felt that "The Captured Life" better explained what our goal is to give to our valued clients. As artists, our goal is to capture the true essence of all our clients. Whether it's a Wedding or a Senior session, it is our responsibility as your hired professional to give you an experience from the time we first make contact until the time your final product is delivered. There is a big difference between the level of service you receive at Nordstrom's and at Wal Mart. I think what I am trying to explain is best described in a post written by Marianne Drenthe found here on Professional Child Photographer .
As Custom Photographers we take the time with you in a 1 on 1 session. It is very difficult to confine a creative experience into a block of time. So we take that time! This allows us to change wardrobes and locations, without having to feel the pressure of the next client waiting in the lobby or rushing you out because we are behind time.
We understand that Custom Photography is not for everyone, but for those who are willing to invest the time and money to plan and prepare for this valuable experience. These discerning clients have been known to budget for a once a year experience, planned watch your child grow quarterly sessions or for that special High School Senior who only graduates once.
There is a great deal of time involved in creating a high end photography session for a client. The luxury for great service, better choices and superb end product. The result of all this are heirloom quality images. Time invested at the session is only a
small portion of time involved in this process.
When you think of purchasing photography think of purchasing a vehicle. I'm a firm believer of you get what you pay for. Let's face it, a person can get from point A to point B by bus, but some so desire to travel via luxury car. So keep this in mind when hiring for your photography experience. You can either drive a Hyundai vs. Lexus, one is just a ride, one has all the bells and whistles, one you won't forget.
